NOTE BY NANCY: I am been deeply impressed by much that President Trump has done to help all Americans; but, tonight tears rolled down my cheeks. As a former Social Welfare Worker in the inner cities of Charlotte and Winston-Salem, NC, I can say that never–in my 80 yrs of paying attention to political affairs, even as a child sitting and listening to the men of the small town of Peachland, NC, discuss politics–have I hear politicians in high office speak with such wisdom on “what people REALLY need.” Tonight, I heard President Trump talk of what inner cities across this nation need to allow their citizens to prosper! Instead of penalizing the poor by actually holding them down with the restrictions placed upon them if they try to better themselves, President Trump talks and knows how to jump-start the poorer communities so that industries and small businesses will come to the inner city and stay. All Americans, regardless of economic status, have a “friend who cares and understands their plight and what to do about it.” The Social Workers Association worked for years in the 1960’s, attempting to get the welfare laws changed from holding recipients “down” when they tried to work and get on their feet … To … laws that helped them “jump-start” their lives and rewarded their efforts to become independent. Trump Announces Suspension of U.S.-South Korea ‘War Games’
“
President Trump announced Tuesday morning that the U.S. would suspend joint military exercises with South Korea on the Korean peninsula, at least during peace talks with North Korea.
“We will be stopping the war games which will save us a tremendous amount of money, unless and until we see the future negotiation is not going along like it should. But we’ll be saving a tremendous amount of money, plus I think it’s very provocative,” Trump said at a press conference in Singapore.
“Under the circumstances that we are negotiating a very comprehensive, complete deal, I think it’s inappropriate to be having war games,” he said, using North Korea’s preferred description of the military exercises.
But Trump said the U.S. would not reduce the presence of some 32,000 U.S. soldiers in South Korea.
“I’d like to be able to bring them back home, but that’s not part of the equation right now,” he added….”

Chinese Ambassador Sets the Record Straight on Importance of Xi-Trump Meeting
” Nov. 16, 2017 (EIRNS)—Chinese Ambassador to the United States Cui Tiankai, obviously somewhat upset about the fake news coverage of the Xi-Trump summit in Beijing by the U.S. media, yesterday underlined the tremendous significance of the summit and the long-term implications for U.S.-China relations, speaking in Washington.
Ambassador Cui was also himself instrumental in the lead-up to the summit with preparations here and in Beijing. He began by stating that President Trump was the first world leader to hold a state visit in the aftermath of the 19th Party Congress. He was also the first world leader who had sent his congratulations to the Chinese President at the conclusion of this very successful congress.
