The veil of illusion in which Earth humans have lived for thousands of years is parting and we are beginning to see the glorious future awaiting us!  At this point in time, we have no idea what TRUE FREEDOM feels like or is.

Beloved Family of Light, what a Joy and a Delight to enter into this year of 2014 in your New Reality! In this message we would speak with you of some of the Possibilities that are taking shape in your New Earth Timeline.

Firstly, 2014 will be a year of Great Change and Transformation on the Material or Physical level. All focus is now on how the New Energies begin to manifest the New Earth as the Gold Frequency allows and supports a Higher Consciousness and a Higher Level of Vision and Creativity.

The New Dream is taking shape, and the Crystal Children are here to support you and assist you as you manifest the Dream.

It is true that this Manifestation will go along with considerable turmoil in the political and economic spheres of society. This is because the Indigo generation is awakening and moving into their Mission of challenging and transforming. They will challenge political and economic systems wherever there is injustice and suffering, and they will begin the work of bringing and end to poverty and suffering on the Earth.

Poverty and suffering are not inescapable realities on the Earth. They are created through imbalances in social and economic structures and can be healed by bringing these social structures into a new sense of balance.

You will encounter, Beloved Ones, many startling events in 2014, as changes occur with great speed. Things that seemed solid will suddenly crumble and fall, to be replaced by ideas and structures that are more fluid, flexible and supportive of all life on Earth.

Beloved Ones, we ask you not to be in fear as you see these transformations. You are the Masters and Warriors of Light. Know that as you stay aligned with your Heart and your Inner Peace, you will move through these changes with grace and in the best possible way.

The Ending of Poverty, a Sustainable Future and the Spirit of the Forest

Beloved Family of Light, as you move into this year of 2014, we ask you to dream and to dream big. Yes, focus on your own lives and what you need to be happy, but remember also that you are a part of a Global Community and that you can dream for your Community too.

We ask you to dream and to focus on the ending of poverty, on the creation of Abundance for All, and the creation of a Sustainable Future for your children and their children too!

Beloved Ones, this process of Healing and Transformation is associated with your ability to reconnect with Nature and the Elemental world. In the 19th and 20th centuries, your evolution and progress took you away from Nature and into a mechanized and technological reality. This has served your expansion into a Fifth-dimensional Global Community, but you cannot thrive if you do not return to a respectful co-existence with Nature.

It is a matter of Balance, between human needs as the dominant species on Planet Earth, and the needs of other species and living beings. For, you are all connected in the Great Web of Life, and if you do not find Balance you will not thrive.

And so it is, Beloved Family, that together with the anchoring of the Gold Frequency on the Earth, you will also experience the reawakening of an ancient Elemental Force that we will call the “Spirit of the Forest”. This Beautiful Being and Energy will support any and all efforts and projects that are designed to heal the rift with Nature and create an abundant and sustainable future.

The Forest was humanity’s first “home”, and you learnt how to be supported by this Energy which nurtured and provided. In some cultures you saw this loving energy of support as a Great Mother, in other cultures you saw the power of nature as a Masculine energy called “Pan”. There was an understanding of the Elemental Power of this Being and how it was supportive of all Life on Earth, including but not limited to, Human Life.

Then, at some point in your mental development, you went to “war” with this force and tried to dominate and vanquish. It withdrew, and the Earth began to suffer as the forests and the wild places withered and died slowly as technology advanced.

In anchoring the Gold Frequency on the Earth, you have effectively invited the return of the Spirit of Nature, the “Spirit of the Forest”, and the return of Abundance and support in your lives. The “war” with nature is over. You are once again learning how to allow nature to support you as you encounter again the loving presence of the Spirit of the Forest in your lives. Let this beautiful energy be a part of your dreams as you co-create the New Earth with cities that welcome Nature and the Spirit of the Forest to create Abundance and Joy.

When you open your hearts and your lives to the Spirit of the Forest, you will activate this energy in your lives and in your communities. You will begin to create the New Earth Cities of Light that will bring in the Balance with nature and the ending of Poverty on Earth.

Personal Balance and Planetary Balance

Beloved Ones, all things are connected in your Fifth Dimensional World. If you would see the Spirit of the Forest and its Abundance manifest in your community, you must begin this process in your own lives.

You begin by simply opening your heart and living in balance with Heaven and Earth. In that balance is an acceptance of the support and love that is an inherent part of the Divine Plan for Life on Earth. Then, live your life in a grounded way, with a firm belief in the flow of Abundance that is generated within Nature and through the flow of Life, Love and Creativity. Learn to manifest easily and in harmony with nature as a co-creative force.

As you become sensitive to this loving and supportive energy, you will feel less stressed and more comfortable in your life on Earth. You will find it easier to flow into new ideas, new projects, new environments, and to let go of the old, as part of the ongoing “organic” process of life. Whatever your personal “next step” will be, know that you will be supported by this loving and all-embracing force of nature.

Your work, Beloved Family of Light, is to remain grounded, centered in your heart and connected to the Gold Frequency of Higher Consciousness. This, together with a sensitivity to the Spirit of the Forest, will shape a life of gentle abundance and simple harmony with nature and natural forces in your body and in your environment.

The Nodes of Light and the New Earth Communities

Beloved Ones, as you reach this level of Frequency and Consciousness, you become a “Node of Light” for the New Earth. As such, you will naturally attract others who are also at this frequency and you will begin to form Communities of Light.

This is an organic or natural process, where opportunities and people will be drawn to you as you are guided in the flow of this energy.

And, it is in these collective “Nodes of Light” that the new ideas and the new communities of the New Earth will emerge.

They will emerge everywhere, but their focus will be on creating a sustainable future and working to end poverty and heal the relationship with nature. For what is poverty, but the belief that nature does not give enough? This will be especially needed in the cities, and there will be many “Light Warriors” who will begin to activate “Light Nodes” within major cities to manifest the New Earth.

You will find these “Light Warriors” wherever there are dreams and visions of Justice and Abundance. They will create gardens and food gardens and they will start projects to clean the waters and provide housing for all beings. You will find them wherever there are efforts to save forests and rivers, and to live in harmony with nature. You will find them working to shift technology into harmony with nature, for that is their mission. The only technology that will go forward into the NewEarth will be “clean” and sustainable technology.

These Warriors of Light will work on the Higher Dimensions together with the New Earth structures and the Councils of Light. The Council of Elders will oversee projects, and the Earth Keeper Council will facilitate these projects. The Council of Children will provide support for the Higher Frequency incoming souls and the Crystal Children who are already here as they give their energy to this new manifestation on Earth.

This, Beloved Family, is the reality of the New Earth. We ask you to focus here, rather then in the old reality of paranoia, decay and disintegration. Remember always, it is your choice, and every moment of your life you can choose which Frequency of Light you wish to transmit in your life and what you wish to create with that light as Co-creators of your Collective Reality.

We wish Joy, Love and Abundance on your Journey into 2014!

GETTING TO KNOW EARTH AS THE MAGNIFICENT BEING

SHE IS—GAIA

       There is much confusion regarding this Planet we call Earth.  The majority of us have grown up thinking in terms of Earth simply being the planet on which we live.  That Earth is a living, breathing, changing entity seldom, if ever, crosses our mind.  We are too busy taking from Earth, mistreating Earth, and demonstrating total disregard for Earth’s well-being.

At the same time, we expect Earth to provide for us—when we plant a seed, we expect it to grow and blossom into its characteristic fruit.  We expect Earth to provide plenty of fresh water for us to drink … plenty of fuels to keep us warm and allow us to travel.  When there are earthquakes, storms, or volcanic eruptions, we blame “Mother Nature.”  We jokingly say, “Mother Nature is showing us who is boss.”

Earth humans have it all wrong.  Instead, Planet Earth is a magnificent being named Gaia.  According to numerology, Gaia’s Destiny Number is 9—the humanitarian, whose goal is perfection.  Gaia cannot be limited to a small group of friends.  Her philosophy is to inspire many.  Gaia is willing to sacrifice self for her cause, is extremely idealistic, and enjoys people from all walks of life.  Gaia is compassionate, wanting only to advance the human race.  Her nature is to serve.  As a Destiny Number 9, Gaia has evolved to the point of choosing to ascend during this lifetime (or cycle).

Like all of us, Gaia came from the heart of Source, First Cause, the overarching Creator of All Things.  She came forth as an individualized Being.  With our limited eyesight, we view her as a planet.  She is, instead, a tremendous being—one of multitudes in our Milky Way Galaxy.

At some stage in Gaia’s lifestream, she volunteered to become a Prison Planet, where lifestreams that needed a place to awaken to their true identity as sparks of Source could live and grow.  Gaia, as a Destiny Number 9, sacrificed her own well-being in order to grant Earth humans the opportunity to mature spiritually.  Her compassionate nature continues to give us food and drink while we rampage her being, rip her apart with our violence, throw trash in her face, and repeatedly inflict all types of abuse upon her with no sense of remorse.

Now, the time has come for Gaia to take advantage of her opportunity to ascend.  In order to do so, Gaia must restore her being to her original perfection.  Gaia has called for assistance from the Realms of Spirit in charge of those incarnating as planets.  She has gained Divine Permission to ascend at the end of this cycle and to proceed with whatever it takes for her to prepare for her ascension.

For decades, Gaia and her spokespersons have urged humanity to awaken and choose to ascend with her.  She has patiently waited, while we run to and fro mindless of her service to us.  Our disregard for Gaia is gross, in every sense of the word.  She gifts us with the fragrance of flowers … sturdy trees to shade us … cooling streams in which to wade.  We trash her … stifle her with miles upon miles of cement … draw her blood (oil) and create wars to possess it.

Now, the deadline approaches.  Gaia will ascend on or around December 21, 2012.  In order to do so, she must complete her own purification process.  She wants to do this with love and in fact, much purification has taken place through the service of Lightworkers.  Just as a boil on the skin of Earth humans can heal only after the puss has been removed, so Gaia must be healed of her boils.  Earth humans vomit when sick—a mini-explosion brings forth that which sickens us.  So Gaia must vomit through her earthquakes and volcanic eruptions.  Earth humans cleanse the body with water; storms cleanse Gaia’s atmosphere and body.  We use fire to purify gold; Gaia is forced to use physical fire to purify her surface.  I say forced because the Violet Transmuting Flame consumes the negative and changes it into positive without the need to be destructive at the same time.  But so few Earth humans have awakened to the need to assist Gaia in her purification process by using the Transmuting Flame that she is forced to rely on physical fire.

Earth humans look at the natural events and call them Mother Nature.  Little do we know that our own negative actions and thoughts, our utter disregard for Gaia’s well being have created the storms, earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions.  Scientists think they can present scientific reasons, but all they know are explanations of how Gaia’s physical being reacts to Earth humans’ behavior.   Ascended planets are not troubled by earthquakes, storms, or eruptions because there is no negativity present.  Below is Lord Maha Chohan’s description of the Divine Being named Uranus, an ascended planet.

        “Their atmosphere is perfect.  The moisture does not come in rainfall, but by a coarse substance that comes through what is similar to your earth.  The body structure itself of Uranus is a beautiful green instead of brown.  The moisture comes through the porous substance, fills their lakes, rivers, and cisterns, and fills the atmosphere with the necessary moisture.  The water is aquamarine; the landed surface is a darker green; the verdure and growth variegated in color.  That is determined mostly by the Aura of the individuals who represent the unit of people residing in certain localities.  The continental Devas affect the entire contour and over-all color of the various continents.  The great planetary Silent Watcher governs and controls the entire Uranium Aura in the atmosphere.”  —A.D.K. To contrast, let’s see how Gaia is suffering.

Ascended Master St. Germain – 1952

        “The end of the Cosmic Cycle for the Earth to emit enough Light to be sustained as a planet in this solar system was to be in 1926.  Since the Earth, known as the Dark Star, was not emitting Light, therefore would have been destroyed by the dark forces engulfing it.  However, Cosmic Beings secured a dispensation which enabled Them to withhold the dark forces sufficiently to give the Ascended Master St. Germain an opportunity to try out His new presentation and application of the Law….  The I AM Activity was the beginning of the Teaching for the New Age as the old or occult law was set aside.  Tremendous service was rendered through it for mankind, the Earth and all who were able to accept and apply the Law as given in the Teaching.

[Sadly, the leader of this movement asked for his ascension because of the viciousness with which he was attacked by those who sought to discredit him] ….

[Since much that was required had not yet been done, in the early 1950’s, the Master Morya and St. Germain were able to secure a dispensation to extend the time for another 20-year period. —the Editor of Law of Life & Teachings By Divine Beings]”

Ascended Master Kuthumi – 1954

“When Lord Maitreya began to design the world religion with the Ascended Master St. Germain for His Seventh Ray cycle, They had to take into consideration, first, the amount of eternal Light the planet Earth and its people were required to give forth by Cosmic Law or be dissolved; second, the capacity of the ten billion souls to receive and understand the deeper instruction given.  This was no easy task because the climax of the 14,000 year cycle should have been reached and every lifestream already developed to the status of a Christ under the Sixth Ray, the mastery as expressed through the Master Jesus.

Then as the Seventh Ray comes in and the ceremonial activity is developed, the entire evolution should have been ready to participate in the glorious cooperation between the visible Angelic Host, the Divine Men and Women, and the shining Elemental kingdom.”

Gaia requested to put an end to her service to Earth humans and to ascend.  Her request was granted and she is scheduled for ascension in December 2012.  She deeply desires to take Earth humans with her into the ascended state, but should we choose to continue in our present violent, thoughtless, negative behavior, Gaia will have to leave us behind.  She is scheduled to move forward in the Milky Way Galaxy and in our own Solar System to the position now occupied by Venus, the Divine Being of Love.  No negativity can exist in Venus’ location.

Ascended Master Morya describes life on Venus – 1962

“The life on Venus is under the direction of a great Hierarchy of perfected Men and Women, called The Lords of the Flame.  They are the embodiment of wisdom and of love.  There is but one language, one state, one race, one purpose.  There is no disease, no crime, no army nor navy nor any instrument of force, for physical violence and unbalance are unknown.  Every citizen of this world Estate contributes his talents freely to the common cause for 15 short years, between the ages of 20 and 35.  Before this time, all are educated by the State according to their particular talents and the interests of the individual citizen

       The citizen of Venus after being educated by the State is permitted to utilize his talents and gifts during the period of world benefit for the good of the entire citizenry.  After the years of service, each is allowed to pursue such spiritual and cultural studies as his nature may choose.

       Old age and disintegration are unknown, because there is no inharmony.”      

Thus in order to qualify to ascend with Gaia to Venus’ old location, Earth humans must be willing to live life in a perfected environment.  That means all negative behavior must cease, be transmuted, and balanced with service to others.

What is happening in the cosmos that means Gaia’s ascension?

Ascended Lady Master Venus – 1954

“As the Cosmic motion and in-breathing of the Central Sun draws the lesser Sun towards Itself, so in like manner the seven Suns are drawing their planets from the periphery of their system.  The planet Venus which is fourth in our system will move one position closer to our Sun becoming the third planet revolving around Krishna and Sophia.  So your Sun will draw Mercury within the Electronic Belt, and the Earth will become the third planet revolving around Helios and Vesta.

       Right below Venus is the Earth in your system.  We are preparing the Earth and its people so that the vibratory action of the position and orbit which We leave may be comfortable and they enjoy the radiation of Love and Wisdom which We leave as our heritage to your planet.  So too, are you preparing for when Earth moves closer to the Sun, Mars moves into your present orbit.”

 

There are many ascended beings working with Gaia and her Earth humans to prepare us for ascension; however, it is up to each of us to make the choice to ascend.  Those who desire ascension must get busy preparing for it.  Those who choose to remain in Earth’s present location in the Solar System will continue in their spiritual evolution on Mars or some other planet with which their level of consciousness finds resonance.

Each planet moves forward in its entirety because that planet is the form into which a Divine Being incarnated, just like you and I are Divine Beings incarnated in human bodies.  When we ascend, we will do so in our entirety.  It is called the mystic marriage—our lower self achieves a higher consciousness level in resonance with our Higher Self (the second figure).

We are then capable of living on the 5^th dimension or on an ascended planet.

May we come to appreciate the tremendous service of Love Gaia has rendered with the intention that Earth humans would awaken to their true identities as Divine Beings!  May we all awaken to the glorious opportunity available to us—to ascend en masse with Gaia, our Mother Earth!

PART I – HAVE I LIVED BEFORE?

Often first impressions and initial experiences upon meeting an individual are based in past life memories.  We can choose how we want to respond to these initial reactions.  An instant dislike of the person can indicate a soul memory that needs to be resolved.  The two of you may have come together—according to perfect divine timing—to heal a former relationship.  On the other hand, an immediate gut-level feeling, like “I don’t trust this person,” may be your soul’s warning to “be watchful as you deal with him.”  It is up to you to discern the difference, perhaps by simply withholding judgment until the two of you are better acquainted.

Two excellent introductory books are the story of Edgar Cayce’s life, There Is A River and Gina Cerminara’s book entitled Many Mansions.  Cayce’s carefully documented clairvoyant readings number in the thousands.  They are housed in the library of the Association for Research and Enlightenment in Virginia Beach, Virginia.  After twenty-two years of giving readings for medical diagnosis, Cayce surprises himself by tapping into a past life of his subject.⁴⁶ From then on the readings are filled with the accounts of past life influences upon the medical and life conditions of his subjects.

As depicted in the Cayce readings, reincarnation is a means by which humanity evolves spiritually.  The Bible teaches us, in the allegorical story of Adam and Eve, that humanity chose to turn away from God.⁴⁷ In doing so, we began our descent into materiality and corruption.  Soon we forgot our true identities as children of God, created in the image and likeness of God.  The Christian narrative introduces the man Jesus as the Saviour, the one who can show us the way out of our spiritual darkness into the divine light of God.  In his Sermon on the Mount, Jesus commands us, “Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.”⁴⁸ In an effort to fulfill this commandment, the individual soul repeatedly incarnates into a physical body.  In the spiritual gospel of John, Jesus explains, “The one who believes in me will also do the works that I do and, in fact, will do greater works than these, because I am going to the Father.“⁴⁹ No one need point out to us that we, at this stage in our spiritual evolution, are unable to perform the works of Jesus.

Reincarnation is the means by which the soul evolves into the perfected state and acquires the knowledge of universal law necessary to “do the works” Jesus does.  Reincarnation is God’s grace manifesting in our lives. God’s grace giving us a second chance throughout eternity. Eternal life is just that: eternal, everlasting, without beginning or ending.  Our souls move back and forth between the world of spirit and the world of physical matter.  Once we evolve past the need to incarnate into physical bodies, we continue our spiritual evolution on higher dimensions of existence.

According to the Cayce readings, our physical body, emotions, and mental attitudes often reflect past life thought and behavioral patterns.  The universal law of cause and effect rules all of life, including humanity’s.  The apostle Paul explains this law:  “Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for you reap whatever you sow. If you sow to your own flesh, you will reap corruption from the flesh; but if you sow to the Spirit, you will reap eternal life from the Spirit.”⁵⁰ What we sow in the present life will be what we reap in the following incarnations.  For example:  My friend and I allowed unforgiven anger to be sown in our former life’s relationship.  When we meet in this present life, we immediately tap into the residual emotions from the previous life; we reap the harvest of anger we sowed.  This “reaping” need not be a permanent condition.  The grace of forgiveness is always available.  My friend and I can, through our freewill choice to do so, transform the initial anger into resumption of a lasting friendship.

Cayce’s readings are filled with examples of reaping what has been sown in previous lives.  An individual suffering from severe asthma is told, “You cannot press the life out of others without seeming at times to have it pressed out of oneself.”  A deaf person hears this admonition:  “Then do not close your ears again to those who plead for aid.”  This subject was a nobleman at the time of the French Revolution.⁵¹ The universal law of cause and effect can manifest itself in any number of ways.

The word karma is closely associated with the concept of reincarnation.  Karma is what we have sown and are now reaping. As long as we incarnate on Earth, each of us is both sowing and reaping karma.  Karma is a neutral word.  Our behavioral choices determine whether we reap positive or negative karma.  At this stage in human spiritual evolution, the majority of us are reaping both negative and positive.  A word of caution is needed.  We cannot outwardly observe the life conditions of another person and think we know what they are reaping.

While still in spirit, our souls prepare for the next physical incarnation by determining the best way for us to learn the lessons set aside for the particular sojourn on Earth.  For example, a soul may choose to be born blind, not because it has been blind to the needs of others in a previous life, but in order to ensure the development of the intuitive self.  In this case, blindness is not the harvest of past negative behavior.  It is the freewill choice of a soul intent on advancing to a higher level of spiritual wisdom.  Jesus gives us excellent advice when he urges, “Do not judge, and you will not be judged.”⁵²

As part of the preparation process, a soul chooses to incarnate into the family with whom it feels its purposes can best be met.  A soul desiring a profession in music may choose a family attuned to the benefits of a musical education.  Two or more souls may plan to assist each other in accomplishing their soul purposes.  One soul may incarnate as a mentally challenged child in order to facilitate the parents’ lesson in loving unselfishly.  Once more we see the need to withhold judgment.  The mentally challenged child is not reaping a negative effect.  Neither are the parents reaping the results of sinful behavior.  Instead, the child is participating in an act of selfless service.  The parents chose the lesson of unselfish love for the present incarnation; the child volunteered to tutor the parents.  In so doing, the child’s soul is also benefiting.  The list of possibilities or purposes behind physical incarnation is endless.  “Do not judge, and you will not be judged.”

Negative karma very often appears within the arena of close personal relationships.  The Cayce readings seem to infer that a soul’s indifference to human suffering in one lifetime will bring suffering to the individual in a future life.  One of his readings illustrates this fact. A father places his little girl in a Catholic home.  The baby was born premature and hydrocephalic.  His wife died a few days after giving birth.  Wanting to know his previous relationship with his daughter, the father requests a reading from Cayce.  He is told, “In the experience before this you could have helped and you didn’t.  You’d better help in the present.”⁵³

“Why don’t we remember our past lives?” I wonder.

Actually we do.  The fact of reincarnation reveals itself throughout our everyday lives.  We simply must be open to seeing and accepting it.  The child prodigy, love at first sight, immediate antagonism, a compelling sexual attraction, the “I feel like I have known you all my life” sensation, déjà vu experiences, phobias, and seemingly unfounded fears—all can be signals of reincarnation.

Continuity of consciousness, while in the physical body, would be overwhelming for the majority of humanity.  As we are born into the physical plane, we mercifully forget much of what we know.  Our soul decides upon specific goals for the particular incarnation.  To have our minds filled to overflowing with memories of all past lives would be to defeat ourselves before we get started.

“Astrology speaks to the soul’s purpose. Why can it not be interpreted to reveal the lessons our soul would like for us to learn in the present incarnation? Can I see indications of past life memories now affecting the individual?”

My quest for spiritual understanding is becoming even more exhilarating.

The science of astrology is practiced on a variety of levels.  Mundane astrology speaks to the everyday affairs of humanity with little or no attention being paid to the deeper significance of our daily lives.  Most often mundane astrology is interpreted for the future in the form of predictions.

Esoteric astrology deals with the spiritual implications of the predominant thought and emotional patterns of an individual.  Esoteric astrology offers answers to many of our “why?” questions in terms of the spiritual growth needing to take place during this incarnation.  Our role in the cosmic plan can be seen through esoteric astrology.

The Wise Men, depicted in the second chapter of the gospel of Matthew, are cosmic astrologers.  Cosmic astrology is a reading of the heavens in order to predict major cosmic events.  We can see examples of cosmic astrology in the Bible.  The birth of Jesus is one such event.  “In the time of King Herod, after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, asking, ‘Where is the child who has been born king of the Jews?  For we observed his star at its rising, and have come to pay him homage.”⁵⁴ Near the end of Jesus’ incarnation, he makes reference to cosmic astrology.  In response to his disciples’ questions about his return to Earth, Jesus explains, “There will be signs in the sun, the moon, and the stars.”⁵⁵

Reincarnation is the foundation upon which esoteric astrology is interpreted.  As I state earlier, reincarnation is the means by which humanity evolves into the perfected state of a child of God.  In our brief look at the readings of Edgar Cayce, we see how our behaviors in one lifetime have impact upon a future lifetime.  Esoteric astrology reveals the ways in which past lives influence the present one.  For example, a client says to me, “Even as a small child, I have always felt I had to be the parent instead of the child.”  Her present life is filled with resentment over this fact.  An esoteric interpretation of this client’s birth chart reveals Saturn in the fourth house.  Saturn often assumes the role of a good parent in our lives.  It insists that we learn a particular soul lesson, just as a good parent requires the child to do homework for school.  The individual’s Saturn is retrograde indicating the tendency to bring an emotional overload from past lives into the present.  It also reveals the likelihood of responsibilities within the childhood home.  The fourth house reveals our psychological constitution and the relationship with mother.  With Saturn retrograde in the fourth house and ruling her Capricorn Ascendant, my client will assume the role of parent from the birth process on, with motivational factors based in past lives.  Even though the mother’s psychological makeup plays into this behavior, tremendous emotional release results from knowing the basis for her parental feelings comes from past lives.  Forgiveness in the present is made easier, thereby transcending the need to reap the results of her resentment in a future life.  She can now choose to sow the seeds of forgiveness.  With this new insight, my client may also choose whether or not to continue assuming the parental role in personal relationships.

Once more questions plague my mind.

“Why does our Western culture choose to ignore the valuable contributions the concept of reincarnation can make in our understanding of life?”

“Why is the Church so hesitant to give credence to a belief in reincarnation?”

One reason is that Christian historians have failed to give reincarnation its rightful place in Church history. As in the case of astrology, Western Christian historians have simply not reported the role of reincarnation. With the dawn of the New Age of Aquarius, ancient books are being translated into English. The layperson can now catch glimpses into what really happened.

The Encyclopedia of Religion concludes an article on reincarnation by affirming that the concepts of reincarnation and karma have done more to shape the whole of Asian thought than any other.⁵⁶ Ancient Greece, India, and Egypt have well developed belief systems centering around reincarnation.  Pythagoras, Empedocles, Plato, Plotinus, and their followers teach reincarnation.⁵⁷ Pythagoras, Empedocles, and Plato predate the Christian era.  Plotinus lives and teaches between 205-270 C.E., as a contemporary of the Christian Church Fathers.  He is not alone in his beliefs concerning reincarnation.

The vast majority of Christians dismiss the above information with a question for which they seek no answer.  What do ancient Greek, Indian, and Egyptian philosophies have to do with Christianity?  A brief study of the world map provides an answer.  Palestine is in close proximity to each of these countries.  Trade routes between Palestine, Greece, India, and Egypt are numerous, allowing a constant exchange of products and ideas with these nations.  Most of us know the Old Testament account of the Hebrew sojourn in Egypt and of the apostle Paul’s journey to Athens, Greece.⁵⁸ Are we also aware that India, as a part of the Persian Empire under whose rule Palestine lived, is mentioned in the Old Testament book of Esther?⁵⁹ Archaeological digs have unearthed vases, carnelian beads, and seals that attest to the trade with India dated as far back as 2500-2200 B.C.E.  An Aramaic (the language of Jesus) inscription from the third century B.C.E. illustrates the contact between India and the biblical lands.⁶⁰

Christianity originates in the Middle East. It grows out of the Jewish religion based in Palestine.  The milieu of both the Old and New Testaments is this intermingling of Greek, Egyptian, and Indian beliefs and customs.  To these, we can add the influence of Persia, Syria, and Italy (all of which periodically rule Palestine during biblical times).  Reincarnation is a widely accepted belief throughout the thousands of years represented in the Bible.  It is naïve to believe the concepts of karma and reincarnation, which “have done more than any other belief to shape the whole of Asian thought” are not known and accepted among the people of the Bible.

Josephus, the first century Jewish historian and contemporary of the Apostle Paul (37-100 C.E.), verifies the presence of a belief in reincarnation within the Jewish community.  He describes three philosophical sects among the Jews of the first century C.E.: the Sadducees, Pharisees, and Essenes.

The Pharisees teach reincarnation for the good souls only:  “They say that all souls are incorruptible; but that the souls of good men are only removed into other bodies, but that the souls of bad men are subject to eternal punishment.“⁶¹

The Essenes teach pre-existence of the soul:  “For their doctrine is this: ‘That bodies are corruptible, and that the matter they are made of is not permanent; but that the souls are immortal, and continue for ever; and that they come out of the most subtile air, and are united to their bodies as in prisons, into which they are drawn by a certain natural enticement; but that when they are set free from the bonds of the flesh, they then, are released from a long bondage, rejoice and mount upward.’”⁶² A belief in the pre-existence of souls is the foundation of reincarnation.  Many scholars are convinced, for three reasons, that the Essenes accept reincarnation.  First, they have high regard for the Jewish Kabala, in which reincarnation is taught as a basic belief.  The earliest known Jews to call themselves Kabalists are the Tanaiim who reside in Jerusalem during the early third century B.C.E.  Second, the Essenes come under the influence of Buddhist monks who travel, in great numbers, throughout the Middle East during the centuries before Jesus’ birth.  Reincarnation is basic to Buddhism.  Third, the Essenes’ doctrines and communal practices reflect a knowledge of the Pythagoreans, who are reincarnationists.⁶³ Thus we find two of the three Jewish sects with which Jesus is familiar accept reincarnation.  We also know that the apostle Paul is a Pharisee, and thus a believer in reincarnation for the good souls only.⁶⁴

“So why does the Western Church consider a belief in reincarnation heretical?

My frustration with the church is growing. Daily, in my rehabilitation counseling career, I confront the need to provide meaningful services to my clients.  I watch as they persist in self-destructive behavior, partly because their church cannot assist them in putting together the tangled pieces of life’s puzzle.  The belief in reincarnation is like removing the lid from a pot of boiling water—it lets the steam out.  No longer is the steam screaming to be released from the small confines of one lifetime.  Knowing that we have lived before and will live again releases a tremendous amount of bottled up emotional energy.

The belief in only one physical life does more to distort our perceptions concerning life, God, and each other than any other concept.  Failure in a career means failure for life:  “There will be no other opportunity.”  Failure to meet a suitable mate cuts deeply into the self-esteem of the individual:  “No one has loved me enough to marry me.”  The loss of a mate through divorce or death can be devastating:  “I’ll never be happy again.”  The brilliant young person killed in an automobile accident:  “His only chance at life is cut short.”  The person born with a debilitating physical condition has no other alternative than to believe, “God made me like this.” Homosexual and transvestite persons are faced with the same conclusion.  Consider what this says about God to the afflicted one.  God is a God who loves some people and hates others.  Think about what this says to the individual about herself.  “God has to hate me; otherwise, why would God create me this way?”

These tragic conclusions are the result of believing in only one physical lifetime.  We are forced to blame God.  No other choice exists.  We may try to come up with options, but buried in the depths of our being is an ugly demon who continually whispers, “God hates you; God created you different, requiring you to suffer.”  God as Creator is the bottom line for the majority of humanity.  Thus, God is to blame.

The church has thus far been unable to provide therapeutic alternatives to these disastrous life experiences and deductions.  Openness to the science of astrology and the natural laws of reincarnation will allow the church to truly spread the gospel of God’s love.  The church can then offer the healing balm of questions satisfactorily answered.

“Why? Why? Why? Why put band-aids on our sores when the church can offer healing?”  The answer can be found, at least in part, through a study of the early church ecumenical councils.

Jesus incarnates into a very cosmopolitan environment.  His public teachings are simple and straightforward.  However, after his crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension, his followers find themselves in a defensive position.

The disciples face a multitude of questions from the diverse peoples living within the Roman empire.  “Why choose to follow a common criminal?  After all, the Roman government put Jesus to death.”  Their answers vary, according to their understanding of Jesus.  As the years go by, various teachers develop their own explanations and groups of followers.

Jesus’ good news, “the Kingdom of God is within you,”⁶⁵ is quickly shoved backstage and replaced with theories concerning the identity of Jesus.  Listen to the apostle Paul’s reaction when some of his followers turn to another teacher:  “I am astonished that you are so quick deserting the one who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel—not that there is another gospel, but there are some who are confusing you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ.”⁶⁶

Paul’s reaction to differences is the exact opposite we see in Jesus’ response.  “John said to him, ‘Teacher, we saw someone casting out demons in your name, and we tried to stop him, because he was not following us.’  But Jesus said, ‘Do not stop him; for no one who does a deed of power in my name will be able soon afterwards to speak evil of me.   Whoever is not against us is for us.’”⁶⁷ Within the sphere of God’s love, there is room for variation.

Many of the Church Fathers follow the example of Paul, instead of Jesus.  They disagree vehemently.  All sorts of human motives cloud the issues.  Their ultimate goal, according to Irenaeus, Bishop of Lyons, is “the real Church has one and the same faith everywhere in the world.“⁶⁸ Found in Irenaeus’ Selections from the Work Against Heresies, this quote and the book’s title speak volumes.

Church historians and I can only surmise why Paul and the Church Fathers are so insistent upon one and the same faith.  Actually the word faith is misleading.  The controversies and heresies concern doctrines.  The above quote sheds more light on the Ecumenical Councils if translated, “the real Church has one and the same doctrine everywhere in the world.”  Whatever the reason, the negative results have been numerous.

One of the most negative repercussions of attempting to have one and the same doctrine everywhere in the world is the church’s declaration of heresy whenever a scholar, minister, or teacher disagrees with the standard doctrine.  To be judged a heretic is a sentence of excommunication from the church, loss of teaching position in a church affiliated institution, or loss of job as a minister or priest.  For hundreds of years, the sentence for heresy can also be death by burning at the stake.  Thousands of writings are burned, or otherwise destroyed, when the author is declared a heretic.  Remember the word heresy simply means a point of view that differs from “the one and same doctrine.”

The early Church Fathers are particularly vigilant in their search for heresies.  As they strive to create a worldwide church with one and the same doctrine, persons with differing beliefs are ruthlessly condemned.  Among those groups declared heretics are the Christian Gnostics, all of whom are reincarnationists.⁶⁹ Some scholars are convinced that the Christian Gnostics are the descendants from the original followers of Jesus and the inheritors of Jesus’ secret teachings.⁷⁰ In Mark 4:11, Jesus confirms a secret message given only to his closest disciples. When the disciples ask Jesus why he speaks to the crowds of people in parables, he answers, “To you has been given the secret [or mystery] of the kingdom of God, but for those outside, everything comes in parables.” All open display of Christian Gnosticism is suppressed by both popes and emperors, often by inflicting the death penalty.  Gnosticism is forced underground.⁷¹ Of the thousands of actual writings by the early Gnostic Christians, few survive the destructive zeal of those who condemn them as heresy.⁷²

Individuals are also included in the relentless search for heretics.  Origen (185-254 C.E.) is a most influential Christian thinker.  Saint Jerome declares Origen to be “the greatest teacher of the Church after the apostles.”  Saint Gregory of Nyssa calls him, “the prince of Christian learning in the third century.“⁷³ Origen teaches pre-existence of souls and reincarnation.  In 553 C.E., the Fifth Ecumenical Council condemns Origen and his teachings as heretical:

“If anyone does not anathematize Arius, Eunomius, Macedonius, Apollinarius, Nestorius, Eutyches, and Origen, as well as their heretical books, and also all other heretics who have already been condemned and anathematized by the holy, catholic, and apostolic church and by the four holy synods which have already been mentioned, and also all those who have thought or now think in the same way as the aforesaid heretics and who persist in their error even to death: let him be anathema.”⁷⁴

Anathema, as defined by Webster, is a “curse solemnly pronounced by ecclesiastical authority and accompanied by excommunication.”

In this way (and I give only two examples) the church stifles belief in reincarnation, just as it condemns the use of astrology during the late 15^th century.  Although believers in both reincarnation and astrology continue throughout history, only as the New Aquarian Age dawns does this ageless wisdom gain open recognition.

Will the traditional church re-consider?  Will the traditional layperson permit and encourage its ministers to recognize these valuable explanations of a God of love?

These are questions only time can answer.  Meanwhile I encourage those of you who are restless and seeking deeper meaning in life to read for yourselves.  Do not take my word or anyone else’s word.  Search out the original text for yourselves.  Listen to your heart.  Allow your intuitive mind to lead you into Truth.  Prove for yourself that God truly is love.

Have I lived before?  For me the evidence is overwhelmingly in favor of “yes.”

SIRIUS – HOBBLE SPACE TELESCOPE

The New Year is underway and there will be plenty to keep you occupied, as the climax to the present changes is coming to a head. Within all of the happenings it will become apparent, that you are experiencing the last of the dark Ones attempts to hang onto their power. They will not change your future or your destiny to ascend which is assured. What will happen is that the events orchestrated by them will show their disregard for human life and their rights. It will result in bringing more people together into the Light, and greater demands for action against them. Thus the continual increase in your levels of consciousness will ensure that there is a response, and you will understand what is taking place. You are advised to keep concentrating on a positive outcome and you will be doing your bit along with ours, to bring an end to all attempts to confuse you and stop your progress.

It is now the time for the Light to become more active around you, and many, many groups of people are banding together to take action. It will commence with small beginnings and gradually escalate into a major force for good. It will have a tendency to draw people together according to whether they have experienced an awakening. Until duality has been overcome, there will always be a degree of difference between groups holding opposing views and opinions, but that is a healthy situation. Without the challenges you would not necessarily evolve, albeit very slowly. With the end times it is therefore possible to go forward in leaps and bounds. Karma can also be cleared more quickly, and unresolved matters will have to be confronted before you ascend.

Time is ever speeding up, and it will seem no time at all before this year also passes by. You can be sure it will hold many surprises, and will have proceeded to lay down the path to Ascension. It will ensure that your journey is completed with ease and in an atmosphere of joyful acceptance. At present there is much apprehension around you, but it will not be long before our allies prove their ability to overcome the plans of the dark Ones. You will be the last piece that completes the picture, and then the whole Universe will be ready to ascend to a higher level. That will be the commencement of the Golden Age, which will bring to fruition all you have been promised that accompanies Ascension. A taste of what is to come will start to be manifested before the year is out, but you must make allowance for the amount of work involved to reach people on a worldwide scale.

Your needs will be totally catered for and we can provide for your whole population. We do not have your difficulties in producing mass quantities, and our source is unlimited. After all Dear Ones, we have had more than ample time to prepare for this stage in your Ascension. You will find that once they start, the changes will come very quickly. We want to deal with poverty and needs that will restore some dignity in your lives, and make you self-sufficient. We have many specialist groups experienced in various skills and expertise that can handle the most complicated requirements. General pollution will for example be cleared in weeks rather than months, and it is an area that we see as a priority. Health and prosperity will gradually return, and the lack now experienced will be eradicated never to return again.

Whatever progress we make regrettably there will always be some who have become fearsome, because of the gloom and doom predictions. For them it has become a part of their firm belief in a catastrophic ending to time, and events on Earth will seem to support it. However, they will not get worse as the months go by, and by no means reach apocalyptic proportions. Mother Earth must have her say in what takes place and also raise her vibrations, but her purpose is not to cause wanton destruction. The negative energies that have been grounded in the Earth over many centuries must be cleared, and completed before Ascension. Our presence means that we can help to alleviate the extent of any damage, and can offer protection to those who may be affected.

Your weather patterns continue to change and regardless of whether they are natural or man made, they will eventually settle down and become more balanced. The extremes you now experience will become less frequent, and temperatures will be comfortable in all respects. The Earth will be resettled where animals and other life forms are concerned, and beauty will return to areas destroyed by Man. Again these tasks are easily dealt with by us, and the Galactic Federation will place all of its technologies and know how before you. By then the dark Ones will no longer be able to interfere, and will have been taken to places where they have no authority or position of power. They are the architects of their own fate, and cannot escape the consequences.

We admire those of you who have diligently searched for the purpose of life and found your answers. As long as you recognize the hand of God in all that is around you, the truth will soon emerge you are All One. You may not yet fully understand the truth, but in time you will learn much from us and the Masters who will speak with you. You will find that it is you who have created the divisions that exist amongst you. Soon all obstacles that stand between you will be overcome, and you will recognize all souls as your brothers and sisters. The barriers will fall away and you will take each other to your hearts. It is of course necessary to create a climate of full cooperation, and race and color will not be an issue anymore.

I am SaLuSa from Sirius, and looking down at Earth from high above you see the Earth becoming a Planet of Light. The dazzling points of Light coalesce and the radiance is a beautiful sight. Sure there are many dark spots, but they are slowly being transmuted having little power to resist the Light. So it shall continue until the lower vibrations hardly exist, and then you will be near to the end time and Ascension. Every soul will move on according to their level of consciousness, yet all shall find themselves exactly at the level that will take them onto the next stage of their journey. You will have made your choices as to what your next undertaking shall be, and your spiritual advancement will continue. Know that all will be well and God will as ever accompany you wherever you are, and always be your mentor and companion. You are loved beyond your knowing at all times, and will be forever more.

Tucson, AZ shooting; mass deaths of birds, fish; manmade weather; Wikileaks’ effect; Haiti; pole shift; human cloning; soul contracts, multiple lifetimes; 2012/Golden Age misconceptions, reality

1. With loving greetings from all souls at this station, this is Matthew to speak about happenings in your world as observed from our vantage point. By far the most requests for our comments are two matters of great concern to many, thus we begin by addressing those.

2. The shooting in Tucson, Arizona, was as reported, a mentally unstable young man’s attempt to kill Congresswoman Giffords and as many of her supporters as he could, but it was not the “senseless act” as often described.  The shooter was acting under mind control and all who were killed or wounded either followed original soul contracts wherein they had chosen to participate in an event with “a higher purpose” or just prior to the shooting, they amended their contracts to include that incident for that same purpose.

3. While it was unquestionably traumatic on a conscious level for those who were wounded and their families, and a tragedy for all who loved the persons who were killed, at soul level the participants willingly served to force attention on the inevitable results of increasingly vitriolic rhetoric in a society that has become inured to that kind of speech as well as violence. This pervasive conditioning had to be brought to the forefront of national, international, awareness so the outcry for an end to incivility and violence can change the collective consciousness of your civilization, which in large part has accepted that kind of behavior as an innate aspect of human nature.

4. That behavior is NOT an innate aspect of human nature—it is taught! The makeup of souls is pure light, which is the same as love, and it is the most powerful force in the universe. Violence, divisiveness and hatred are deliberately introduced through the many influences that impact life on Earth.  And because whatever constitutes your collective consciousness is what creates your world, it is essential that those influences be brought to light so healing and unified spirit can be the legacy not only of the lives affected by the shooting in Tucson, but the lives of all souls who have helped to cleanse your world of darkness. Not punishment or revenge or retaliation will ever bring peace and harmony—only LOVE can end the illusion of separateness and let the innocence and purity of infants reenter hearts and minds.

5. Light beings throughout the universe honor the souls who agreed to be “victims” in Tucson. Those who died were lovingly, gratefully greeted in Nirvana, light is being intensely beamed to their grieving families and friends, and those who are recovering from wounds have angelic helpers assisting the medical teams. However, do not for a moment underestimate the relevancy and power of untold numbers of prayers and heartfelt sentiments in those respects!

6. US President Obama’s memorial address was transmitted to us from Earth’s monitors in Nirvana.  We know the soul of this man, thus better than he knows himself, yet without his conscious awareness that he willingly left his spiritually advanced civilization to serve in the vanguard of the Golden Age master plan, his words on that memorial occasion were from his heart and soul in concert with all the heavenly hosts.

7. As much as we wish we could tell you that that assassination attempt is the last incident of its kind, we cannot know that—with Creator’s exception of nuclear detonations in space, Its law of free will must be honored by God and all of His emissaries. What we do know is that the shooting’s effects, the shock, horror and prayerful sentiments in its aftermath, have given the energy of reconciliation an enormous thrust forward. Although in the weeks and months ahead, other acts of violence will occur and warring and stubborn political partisanship will continue as the duality in humankind runs out its course, the energy momentum toward peaceful coexistence is far too strong to be derailed and the stage is set for the emergence of long-hidden truths. Regardless of individuals’ choices to accept or reject these truths, the forthcoming revelations and ensuing changes will propel Earth into her era of love, peace and harmony.

8. The other concern in many minds is the mysterious sudden deaths of millions of birds and fish in various locations around the globe. This was not from a single cause, but a “last straw.” The small bodies of those animals are more vulnerable than human bodies to the many forms of toxic pollutants in your air, water and soil, so their immune systems were seriously weakened before they were hit by a blast of low vibrations from manmade electromagnetic grids.

9. If you are wondering why our space family did not use their technology to prevent such a blast, it is because doing so exceeds their authority. They are, however, permitted to deflect or neutralize harmful radio waves aimed at the peoples, and they did so; without their intervention, there would have been many human bodies sickened or killed along with the mass exodus of birds and fish.

10. To address other inquiries, it is completely understandable that you would like to have “forecasts”: When the presence of extraterrestrial civilizations will be officially announced; when spacecrafts will land; when the economy will get straightened out and the new system running smoothly; when chemtrails and genetically altered foodstuffs will stop; when the truths about “9/11” and religions will be disclosed; when suppression of free energy sources and natural health therapies will end. Those are some of the primary questions in your thoughts, which we see as clearly as we see your light that sparkles as brilliantly as a field of diamonds in the sunlight.

11. If we could give estimated times for those and other developments of interest to many, we would do so joyfully. Earth’s energy field of potential is in such commotion, with the dark ones fighting bitterly in desperate last stands, that it would be folly to offer even “best guesses.” So we tell you what we DO know with absolute certainty—your patience and steadfastness in the light will be rewarded beyond your grandest imagining.

12. Yes, the unusually severe weather conditions in many parts of your world, including heavy snowfalls, flooding and temperature extremes, are man’s handiwork. It is not necessary for the scientists who are doing the Illuminati’s bidding to initiate each incident anew—once elements in the atmosphere have been strongly set in motion, the domino effect takes over. When conditions start to ease as the energy within them dissipates, weather control technologists set off another disruption, and the same is so with volcanic eruptions and earthquakes. Your off-planet brotherhood reduces to the extent possible the intended harmful results of all the manipulated happenings while still enabling their full release of negativity. Why is the Illuminati controlling weather and creating ‘natural’ disasters? To produce the negativity that arises out of high death toll, grief, fear, chaos, widespread destruction, disease, economic disasters and hopelessness.

13. It is not within our province to assess as light-filled or dark the reason underlying the dissemination of secret documents via Wikileaks, but we can say that the overall effect is beneficial. Even though the previously suppressed information has been released only in minimal amount, it can lessen the shock of that country’s citizenry when evidence shows the extent to which their government has betrayed them through the workings of its members in the Illuminati and those who succumbed to that international group’s threats or payoffs.

14. With so much money donated for the reconstruction of Haiti after the earthquake a year ago, why is that country still a disaster zone? Because those funds were stolen by the Illuminati after their technology caused the quake—that stealth is why former US presidents Clinton and Bush rushed to Haiti so quickly after the quake.

15. Concerns about a shift in Earth’s magnetic pole and where this may be leading are needless. The shift underway is a corrective measure that began over 60 years ago, when Earth’s planetary body was so deeply entrenched in third density that it was on the brink of flying out of orbit into certain destruction. God authorized powerful distant sources to beam massive amounts of light to stabilize the planet’s orbit, and that stabilization process will continue until Earth is within fourth density.

16. When a clone commits a crime, how does that affect the real person’s karma and lifeprint review? It doesn’t affect karma at all, and in the lifeprint review, it is simply a factual happening during the physical lifetime. On Earth persons are cloned to keep their powerful positions intact in case of natural death or assassination, and since it usually is individuals high in the ranks of the Illuminati who are cloned, it is done voluntarily.

17. Since the cloning process “downloads” all the person’s character traits, behavior patterns and knowledge to that point, the clone continues the person’s own ruthlessness and deception that resulted in criminal activities prior to the clone’s production.  It is the same with successive clones; however, mental and physical deterioration occurs with each downloading into a replacement clone, and if a person is cloned after a chronic disease has set in or after years of ingesting drugs or alcohol, even the first clone’s condition is compromised and replacements are frequent. An example is former US President George W. Bush— that is why the cloned vice president, Cheney, actually was running the presidency.

18. Souls may choose to enter clones with the intention of changing negative character traits and behavior patterns into positive, but rarely is this successful. Most often souls enter clones of persons who resisted and were killed, such as Pope John Paul and former US President Jimmy Carter. The souls that entered their clones succeeded in their intention to not succumb to Illuminati demands and they became the respected individuals you know of.

19. No, Barack Obama has not been cloned, nor will he be.

20. Please do not be dismayed because attempts to manifest strong healthy bodies or high energy levels haven’t produced desired results. Third density powers of manifestation are not sufficiently developed so that a weak body can be transformed into glowing health or a low energy level raised to high in the twinkling of an eye. But by all means, continue to “see” yourselves in those prime states—positive thoughts about well being attract the energy of similar thought forms in the universal soup and enhance your chances of success. As Earth’s ascension journey continues, the higher vibrations will improve health conditions and strengthen your abilities to manifest along with your belief that you do indeed have that power.

21. We make soul contracts to evolve spiritually but we can’t remember what’s in them, and that doesn’t make any sense.  If we knew what our missions are, life would be a lot easier. No more making big mistakes and wasting lifetimes trying to get it right.

22. If you remembered all your contract provisions, what purpose would the physical lifetime serve?  What advancement could there be in spiritual clarity, application of universal laws and use of free will if you simply followed decisions you made before knowing what circumstances you would encounter during the lifetime?

23. Forgetfulness of soul contracts, which cover the foundation and major players that fit the soul’s chosen experiencing and let the personage fill in the details as life keeps unfolding, isn’t meant to drown anyone in a lifelong sea of confusion, and it doesn’t if folks pay attention to their soul level guidance that is as unmistakable as gigantic flashing arrows.  Following those bright blinkers that are conscience, inspiration, instinct and so forth, aligns conscious decisions with contract choices.

24. However, that does not negate your free will to deviate from the contract when other opportunities for growth arise. Contracts aren’t rigid, but rather allow for flexibility as different kinds of situations can offer the same measure of learning—actually, it isn’t learning, it is remembering what your soul knows. Spiritual growth is a series of self-discoveries that get passed on from lifetime to lifetime, and each contract is designed to provide opportunities for the soul to keep evolving.

25. Awareness of a “mission”—a term that denotes a soul’s primary purpose for embodying—doesn’t pop up as an Aha! moment, it comes as meaningful accomplishments that impart a sense of fulfillment. And no lifetime ever is wasted!  What you consider “mistakes” because they lead to situations that are very difficult to handle are not a waste if you learn from them. Furthermore, they may be part of your contract—not all lifetimes can be on Easy Street or there could be no advancement for the soul. Evolvement requires balance, and attaining balance requires dealing with stressful situations as well as enjoying ideal circumstances.  Incarnating offers myriad possibilities and probabilities, but no certainties that would preclude your making the many choices that let each lifetime become a unique learning adventure.

26. God explained this more succinctly in His reply to my mother when she asked why people can’t know everything that their souls know:

If all were absolutely known, if nothing required any independent thinking or decisions or activity, then why would there be any need for multiple experiencing?  What would there be to learn?  Why would life itself be necessary?  We could just fast forward to The End, which is The Beginning, and let all lives of all times reside at that initial point of Being.

27. Now that holiday observances are over and your thoughts are back into routine tasks, various misconceptions about the year 2012 also are back. Beliefs that the major reforms required to usher in Earth’s Golden Age cannot be accomplished in the two short years remaining are paralleling beliefs that darkness will continue right up until the end of 2012, then abruptly disappear. Beliefs that three days of darkness or some other dramatic occurrence will herald the beginning of the Golden Age. Beliefs that profound geographic changes will precede Earth’s entry into fourth density. Beliefs that two Earths will emerge out of the ascension process.  Beliefs that going along with Earth into the Golden Age is the pinnacle of spiritual growth. Beliefs that after 2012, your world will be unchanged henceforth.

28. Because your beliefs create your reality and collectively those beliefs create your world, you need to know the universal reality of what is happening and what is ahead.  To dispel beliefs born of misconceptions, we start by assuring you that all essential reforms to rid your world of darkness will be completed in good time and in stages, not in one fell swoop at the end of calendar year 2012.

29. Nothing profound will happen immediately prior to Earth’s entry into her Golden Age; the last days of 2012 will be similar to the first days of 2013.

30. While some seacoasts will gradually move a short ways inland and some low lying islands will slowly become submerged, there will be no drastic changes in land mass or seas.

31. Earth is a soul residing in a planetary body and she has no need for a second such body.

32. Souls will continue evolving until once again they are within the Cosmic Oneness of Creator, thus “the immortal soul” and “the eternal life of the soul.”

33. And nothing in this universe is static—changelessness is contrary to the scientific laws that govern all life in this universe.

34. Let us speak a bit more about what is ahead.  It is so that relatively little linear time remains prior to Earth’s total exit from third density—that is why the transitional phase you are entering will be tumultuous, with changes coming thick and fast. You will be in the midst of people who are fearful because all the systems familiar to them are in chaos and collapse.  You know that this is part of world transformation and you are there to assist in the process; by calmly dealing with forthcoming circumstances, you can ease the grave concerns of those who don’t understand that the turmoil is leading to the “better world” they want.

35. As for the onset of the Golden Age, not all of its glories are sitting on its doorstep, so to say. Yes, everything born of dark intent will have ceased with the advent of that Age—so no more warring or other violence, no more impoverishment or disease, no more polluting or mind control or corruption. All necessary truths will have been revealed and there will be reformed governments and economic, legal and judicial, energy, educational, communication and transportation systems. That is but a partial list of great changes underway, and at the end of 2012, none of them can be considered as perfected. Refinements will continue in all of those areas and other advancements too, and as you keep growing spiritually and intellectually, you will greet all forward strides with rejoicing. We are living in a very intense period in our human evolution, during which vast changes are taking place within ourselves and on our planet.  We may feel agitated or disoriented and not know why.  We may experience the constant pressure of linear time steadily increasing.  Surely, a week is now only three days in length! On the other hand, while we may be confused, we are also noticing the steadily increasing frequency of synchronistic events taking place in our lives.  We wish for something and it appears on our doorstep.  Traumatic upheavals occur only to dissipate with little or no effort on our part.  We are left feeling as if something threw us into the air and then, caught us with no harm done.  Life seems inexplicable.  Even though it is not yet obvious to the average individual, the whole of humanity is moving into a greater awareness of Truth.  Meanwhile, how can we best cope with the intensity of daily living and the feeling that we are riding a roller coaster through life? For thousands of years, people have sought comfort in Psalm 23.  Within the six verses of this familiar Psalm, universal Truth is revealed.  Meditating upon this Psalm can propel us forward in our efforts to leave behind error thoughts and claim Truth as the foundation of our lives.  Truth is Universal Law.  They are one and the same.  Let’s look at the universal laws revealed in Psalm 23. “The Lord is my shepherd.” The Hebrew word translated “Lord” also means “Law”—the universal Laws by which all of creation operates.  Universal law requires the Sun to make an appearance each morning.  Clouds may block our view of the Sun, but its ever-present warmth still protects our planet.  Likewise, throughout the events in our lives, universal law requires that all things work together for our good.  Like a shepherd gathering his lost sheep, universal law directs us home to the realization of our oneness with Mother/Father God.  We are never left alone to find our way home the best way we can. Sheep are utterly dependent upon the shepherd:  if one gets lost, it is unable to find its way back home.  However, the shepherd knows when even one sheep is lost and will search until he finds it.  A shepherd must constantly seek food for the sheep and often, a cave for shelter at night.  Sheep recognize the sound of the shepherd’s voice and willingly follow him.  We, humans, are just as dependent upon universal law unfolding in our lives.  The problem is:  we have gotten lost.  That’s what the planetary changes now taking place are all about—humanity is once more becoming aware of its Shepherd or Universal Law. So what are the characteristics of life when the Law is our Shepherd?  First, “I shall not want.”  According to universal law, there is no lack.  The only reason we experience lack is that we have based our lives on non-truth.  We have not recognized the voice of our Shepherd calling to us.  Instead, we buy into the world’s proclamations of a declining economy and depressed stock market.   We, however, always have the option of making the conscious choice to listen to and follow universal law.  As we do so, the Law “makes me lie down in green pastures.”  The law does not require that we till the ground, plant the grass seed, and water it until the pasture is green.  We have the privilege of lying down in green pastures because they already exist.  Toiling for our food and clothes has never been in compliance with universal law.  We do so because we are blinded to the fact that all we need is already present in our lives.  A green pasture in Palestine is a beautiful oasis in the midst of barren, rocky soil. “He leads me beside still waters.”  Universal law would have us walk leisurely along the shores of a tranquil lake, allowing the stillness to “restore our soul.”  Our elder brother, Jesus, taught us:  “Do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, or about your body, what you will wear….  Strive first for the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”  (Matthew 6:25, 33)  Does this mean that universal law states we can live a life of leisure? Yes and no.  Yes, universal law states that we are one with all that is … meaning we are one with all the food, drink, and clothing we need … it is already ours.  No, living in the knowledge of our true identity—child gods, we each have a role to play within the divine plan.  However, that role is not labor; it is, instead, a joyous expression of the unique manner in which God wishes to manifest through each of us.  We walk beside still waters and restore our soul as we live in attunement with our soul and its desires, worrying not over what we will eat, drink, or wear. “He leads me in right paths for his name’s sake.”  Integrating universal law into our lifestyles will lead us along the path that is right for us.  Names carry the vibrations of individual identity, the type vocation planned, and the recognition of our presence within the universal whole.  As we allow knowledge of universal law to lead us, we come to know that the right path is the path that allows God to express uniquely through us.  We are lead by universal law along the right path for his name’s sake:  in other words, in recognition of the unique identity, vocation, and quality of presence God is seeking to express through us.  As we learn to live our lives in ways that are authentic to who we are, as opposed to what the world expects of us, we are increasingly led along right paths for His name’s sake. “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil: for you are with me.”  Universal law states that God is everywhere present, even during our darkest moments.   As long as we keep our attention on God’s presence within and around us, we need not fear evil (or error thoughts).  It is when we are fearful that error thoughts assault us, screaming:  “you are sick” … “you will never find another job” … or “you will be alone for the rest of your life.”  Knowing that God’s loving presence permeates every fiber of our being, we can walk through our dark valleys and behold them for what they truly are– avenues leading us more completely into the light.  Universal law states:  perfect health is yours … the perfect job is yours … the perfect mate is yours.  We must, however, remember that perfect means perfect in the eyes of the soul.  What is perfect for us is whatever it takes to move our soul forward on our spiritual journey back home. “Your rod and your staff—they comfort me.”  The rod and staff are ancient symbols of authority or kingship.  Metaphysically, they signify the power of focusing on the God within us while knowing that with God all things are possible.  Universal law would comfort us with the knowledge that we possess the inner power and authority to follow in the footsteps of the great teacher, Jesus.  We can do all the things that he demonstrated and more.  We, as child gods, possess the inner power and authority to transform valleys that appear dark and frightening into passageways that lead us beside the still waters.  When the waves threatened to sink the boat in which Jesus and his disciples were riding, Jesus knew he had the inner power and authority to calm the water and wind.  We can do the same by concentrating on our indwelling God and allowing that same power and authority to manifest in our lives.  We speak of our own divinity when we affirm:  “your rod and staff—they comfort me.” “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.”  While we live our lives in a world of turmoil and change, universal law prepares a feast for us … a feast of love, abundance, and joy.  Who are our enemies?  Those error thoughts that convince us we are not worthy to be given a feast … that persuade us we can never win the victory over the world and its illusions.  Error thoughts encourage us to keep plugging along, doing the best we can.  On the other hand, universal law would have us know that we can be victorious … we can sit down and enjoy a feast while all of the world’s error thoughts lie impotent at our feet. How does God respond when we consent to partake of the abundant feast available to each of us?  By anointing our head with oil!  In the ancient Near East, to anoint the head with oil meant to invest that person with power.  It was a sign of divine sanctification and approval.  Anointing the head signified consecration for a holy mission.  As we feast on the abundance universal law has already set before us, God will anoint our heads with oil.  With our needs abundantly met and our enemies lying impotent at our feet, God invests us with the power to carry out our holy mission—that of allowing God to manifest through us as the unique human beings we are.  As we do so, our cups overflow with joy, peace, and love.  We walk beside the still waters, knowing we are fulfilling our role within God’s divine plan for humanity.  That our cup overflows is a sure sign that we walk in right paths for His name’s sake. “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.”  The words of Genesis 1:31 reveal universal law:  “God saw everything that he had made, and indeed, it was very good.”  Only Good exists permanently; all else is illusion.  As we consciously attune to and allow universal law to guide us, Good unfolds in our lives.  We begin to behold life through the eyes of God.  Mercy follows us as we concentrate on the Good; thereby, attracting it into our lives.  Making the conscious intention to walk away from our error thoughts, our lives are mercifully filled with Good.  We, by our own choice, allow goodness and mercy to follow us all the days of our lives. “And I shall dwell in the house of the Lord my whole life long.”  It is only as we allow goodness and mercy to follow us that we live in the house of the Lord.  As we abide by universal law, we achieve a level of conscious awareness that reveals to us our true home—within the loving arms of our Mother/Father God. Even as we walk through the darkest valley on our earth plane journey, we can do so in full awareness of dwelling—at the same time—in the house of the Lord—Universal Law.  With our focus on God, we can use our Earth plane challenges and lessons to overcome all fear.  We can achieve a level of conscious attunement to universal law that allows us to walk beside the still waters, even though the world around us appears to be filled with turmoil.  For, we know better.  We are feasting at God’s bountiful table; we are anointed with the power and inner authority to accomplish our soul’s mission. The Lord is our Shepherd and we shall not want.  AMEN … and so it is!

A NEW YEAR IS A TIME OF GRACE!

All of us greet each New Year with a sense of relief mixed with excitement over a clean slate for the coming year.   We anticipate a year that will be better … more personally fulfilling … a year filled with exciting new adventures.

Think about it … why do we celebrate? … why do we want to begin the New Year with those we love? … why is the ending of the old year and the dawning of a new one such a milestone?

Most, if not all, of us can relate to the above feelings; but, do we know why?  According to the Ascended Masters’ teachings, the beginning of a new year is a time of grace.   Archangel Michael presides over the Autumn Season, as evidenced by the deep blue of the skies.  Blue is the Father (or Source) Ray; it transmits power.  The inner color of Autumn is a soft, golden tone—the Christ (Love) Ray.  Both of these Rays are visible to our physical eyes during the Autumn Season.  Earth’s atmosphere is suffused with a shimmering blue-gold light.

Autumn is a time of cleansing … of transmuting … of purification.  Archangel Michael’s radiations are cleansing … they turn the spiritual seeker inward and urge him/her to cleanse the lower nature … to truthfully look at the unresolved issues that hold us to the present step on our spiritual path.  As hard as we may try, we cannot detour around our issues.  They will continue to trip us up until we place them on the table … look at them honestly … understand what they are attempting to teach us … and release them, giving thanks for the lessons learned.   Autumn is a time for deepening our commitment to the spiritual path.  It is a time of walking consciously in the Light of Divine Love.

The Winter Solstice begins on December 21 and reaches its climax of spiritual power at midnight of December 24.   This night is holy because it marks the birth of a new Sun … the birth of a new and higher degree of Divine Love within the spiritual seeker.   Christians call this season “Christmas;” however, it is a holy season for the entire planet—regardless of religion.   All of humanity is influenced by the change in seasons in ways that we have, heretofore, been largely unconscious.

At the stroke of midnight on December 24, a strange peace enfolds the planet … the Universal Christ Spirit (Divine Love) has entered the heart of the Earth.  Hosts of Angels & Archangels surround the Earth singing and sending forth their divine blessings upon all of humanity.  Every tree … every plant … all of creation blends with the ecstacy of music and Light.    Earth becomes a luminous ball of Light.  As year after year, this Divine Light and Angelic Music suffuse the Earth, humanity grows increasingly unable to hate, kill, or discriminate against another.

As we approach December 31, humanity enters a period of grace during which all “UN-intended” negative acts are erased from the Akashic Records.  The Universal Law “We reap what we sow” no longer applies to these “UN-intended” karmic acts.  This is an act of Divine Grace to assist humanity on its spiritual Path.   This lessening of our karmic load is exhilarating … our slate is truly lighter … we look forward to a New Beginning!

NOTE:  One of the most profitable methods for dealing with the issues we attempt to repress is to write your life story.  Beginning with the earliest year you can remember, list the following:

1.  For each year of your life, list the major events that occurred.

2.  Under each major event, list how you “immediately” reacted.  How did I feel?  How did I express or fail to express what I felt?

3.  Under each major event, list how you have continued through the years to respond to this event.

4.  Under each major event, answer this question:  “Have I been able to come to terms with the feelings I experienced?”  In other words, do I continue to attempt to repress those feelings – or – are these feelings now simply a part of my life story that no longer have the power to impact adversely my life?

5.  Under each major event, answer this question:  “What have I learned from this experience?”

REMEMBER:  The goal of all major events in our lives is soul growth.  ASK:  Have I used this event to help me become a better person?  Have I allowed the universal law “All things work together for good for those who love God” to manifest in my life?

6.  Consulting a professional counselor may be the climax to this exercise; however, if you are absolutely honest with yourself and take the time to think through your life story, you will most likely find that you are freed from the burden you have carried for years in the form of unresolved issues.

7.  Be sure to WRITE DOWN your life story.  The act of writing it down goes a long way toward cleansing your energy field.  Writing it down gets it outside of you, where you can look at it objectively and decide how to best deal with it.

8.  Don’t allow our busy world to make you think “I don’t have time to do this.”  In truth, YOU DO NOT HAVE THE TIME TO NOT DO IT.

Planet Earth is moving into the 5^th dimension in the very near future.  No unresolved issues can be carried with us.  It is imperative that we all cleanse our energy field of unresolved issues.  Using the remainder of this holiday week can be an excellent time to at least begin writing your life story.

Give yourself the gift of private time in which you can experience each major event and reconcile it in a way that adds positive energy to your life.

New Year’s weekend is the perfect time for personal reflection and transmutation!

We have been hearing so much lately about “Indigo Children,” new babies, toddlers, and children who seem to have what I term “Hyper Intelligence” mentally, psychically, and spiritually. But let’s go back to where it all started taking shape, back to the 60’s, back to the time of political, spiritual and sexual revolution…..a time when nothing would ever be the same again, a time when the earth took a major energetic shift….a time when our societies “rebels of the world” were starting to have children, a time when the music changed…..when Pink Floyd, The Moody Blues, The Beatles, The Doors, Iron Butterfly, and Led Zeppelin created a new paradigm of lyrics and tone expression…..where an explosion of self induced drugs took people to spaces, places, and dimensions that are not of this world…(and sadly, some of them never returned…)

This is where things started taking form for the Indigo Ray…. Beings from another octave, same tones but a higher octave…a higher vibration…a higher awareness, and an entirely different perception! The ways of the lower octaves, though functional for the lower octave scale, just plain do not work for the higher octave beings, and the more you try to make them conform to the lower octave scale, the more resistance and frustration you get from both sides because….it just will not “fit” or “comply.”

These beings are very brilliant and psychic….but many of them have been labeled by our education systems as “hard to teach,” “rebellious,” “slow,” “dyslexic,” “quiet” or even “retarded” because the current standard scholastic evaluation systems did not include tests that show the “true colors” of these extraordinary beings. The sad outcome of our inability to understand and cultivate the ultra intelligence of these Higher Octave Beings, is that they have been ridiculed, rejected, abandoned, outcast, and many of them became loners and recluses from time to time because there was no where to go but “inside.”

The truth of it all is that these phenomenal Indigos have been sent here by their own volition to change the planet’s thought systems …the consciousness grid…. the entire structure. Our old outdated rigidity imbedded in this plane, with its heavily protected ignorance is now being abruptly transformed by those who embody the “Indigo Ray!”

First Wave Indigo Knights Profiles

These are some of the qualities and challenges that First Wave Indigos experience. Most Indigos can relate to at least 90% of this list.
~ Were born en masse (about 62%) between 1969 and 1987 (With stragglers before and after – 30% were born in the 50’s).

~ Highly intelligent in their “Own Way.”

~ Are literally “wired differently” than other people.

~ Know in their heart and core that they are here “on a mission” but many don’t remember what that is or how to go about it.

~ Have an inner awareness that what is being taught in churches and schools is NOT accurate and know there are hidden agendas around the lies that are being accepted by the masses as “Truth.” This is extremely frustrating but inspires them to uncover the cover-ups and expose The Real Truth!

~ Have a strong sense of truth, ethics, justice and freedom. (That is why “authority figures” many times irritate and frustrate them). When these are in jeopardy, will give their “all” for their cause, and many times feel they would rather die than give-in to tyranny and deception.

~ Many have strong or unusual Psychic and Telekinetic abilities.

~ Have extraordinary levels of compassion.

~ Have purple/UV as their favorite color or see it in their dreams.

~ Have an affinity to Knights, Castles, and Dragons.

~ Shut down psychic abilities because it scares people.

~ Feel like they could be one of the characters on the 1980’s television series “The Misfits of Science” or one of the young people in Xavier’s school for the gifted in the recent movies from the comic books “The X-Men.”

~ Many times get along better with animals and nature than people.

~ Have a bond/connection to the trees, and nature in general.

~ Can relate well to children and or the elderly.

~ Feel very comfortable lounging, and would rather sit on the floor on a pillow than in a hard, uncomfortable chair. (Would prefer sitting on the floor in school, and business meetings if they could get away with it!)

~ Are very attracted to soft natural fabrics in their cloths and fuzzy blankets are the ultimate!

~ Many times get very impatient when someone doesn’t “get to the point.”

~ Creative, inventive, and very intuitive.

~ Involve themselves in human/animal rights efforts.

~ Have an innate sense of “oneness” and connectedness to all of creation. Get confused and disturbed when others don’t share their reality of “at-one-ment.”

~ High capacity for love, and therefore others may feel uncomfortable by their intensity.

~ Very sensitive, sometimes “Hyper Sensitive” and may not be able to distinguish between the emotional fields of those around them and their own personal emotions.

~ May go through periods of apathy and cynicism as coping mechanisms.

~ Intense longing for “their own kind” or Soul Mates, but don’t know where to look.

~ Have what I endearingly term H.D.D. or “Hug Deficit Disorder” and need immense amounts of physical touching, hugs, and love to “cuddle.”

~ Because of being misunderstood and then betrayed, may develop strong trust issues, and therefore keep many of their thoughts, feelings and opinions to themselves.

~ About 30% have difficulties expressing themselves, especially in writing. NOTE: If you read some of the poorly written correspondence from some of these First Wave Indigos, you would assume they were uneducated and nearly illiterate, but the truth is, that these same people can also be speed readers and can absorb information in seconds that would take others minutes to understand and retain.

~ Very disciplined when properly motivated.

~ Get bored and or frustrated in school.

~ Male Indigos (and many Females) for the most part don’t “do authority” very well because most of the time they are smarter than those in authority.

~ Many find themselves in “Alternative Schools.”

~ Female Indigos seem to be able to cope better with the school systems than their male counterparts.

~ Many are labeled “Dyslexic” and find themselves in “Special Classes” at school that usually never work for them.

~ Indigos have a strong desire to know “why” and if they don’t see “the point” in something, (or if is it isn’t explained properly), will feel it is simply not worth their time/energy and will either react with resistance or just simply “blow off” the people/things that seem not worth their time and energy.

~ Innately have their own ways of calculation and many have been accused of cheating in school because they do the answers in their head and cannot show their work.

~ Indigos have an evolved awareness of how things work, therefore, many of the rigid rules and methods of learning Math, English, and Physics (NOT metaphysics or quantum physics) make no sense to them.

~ All First wave Indigos have what might be termed as “A Gift of Healing” ….whether it is making people feel better with their humor and wit, hands on healing, animal and plant healing, healing with music and tone, or healing with new “unproven” methods.. ·some of which are natural and need no external training for.

~ Many Indigos have “Telepathic Healing” abilities and long distances make no difference to the efficiency of their work.

~ Because of their expanded perception, unusual creativity, wanting to try new things, and running way ahead of what is being taught in class, many were diagnosed as having Attention Deficit Disorder, and put on Ritalin as children.

~ Most Indigo’s (especially males) have a high innate aptitude for computers/electronics and or auto mechanics. It is common for them to “Just Know” how to operate and trouble shoot with very little help from a book or an instructor.

~ First Wave Indigo’s are extremely creative, and express this innate skill in many (and often times OUTRAGEOUS forms.) These skills manifest in: Drawing, Painting, Sculpting, Decorating, Photography, Writing (in sometimes very extreme and unique ways), Making Blueprints and Prototypes, Composing and Playing Music (even if they have never had lessons), inventing games, and creating new & more efficient ways of doing things.

~ Very few Indigos are interested in aggressive sports such as Football and Hockey. They would rather spend their physical exercise time and energy in personal achievement and outdoor sports such as track & field, skateboarding, mountain climbing, cycling, kayaking, etc. They are also attracted to discipline and self-defense sports such as Fencing and Martial Arts

~ Because of their feeling so foreign to this planet, a very high percentage of Indigos have been put on “Antidepressants” to make them appear “Normal” and fit in our society·.this is just a temporary fix though, and only adds to their challenges.

~ Many Indigos are drawn to Theatrics, Drama, and Stand-up Comedy. In these venues they can “pretend to be someone else” when actually they are using this as an outlet to vent and express their own views and pent up emotions. It is also a place for “misfits” to find a place of refuge and “fit in.”

~ Because of their feeling so “alien” here, many go through periods of severe grief, loneliness, and displacement …and may turn to drugs, alcohol, or attempt suicide for a way out.

COMMENTS BY NANCY:  During my 11 years as a State-employed Social Worker and Rehabilitation Counselor, I spent my career in the inner city slums—before urban renewal.  Try to imagine a child growing up in the slums almost totally deprived of the beauty of nature, invigorating fragrances, and the joy of creating beautiful forms such as in art and music.  Only then can you begin to walk in the shoes of the child, and later the adult, growing up deprived of God’s beauty.

At one point, I worked as a rehabilitation counselor in a high school for the mentally challenged.   At lunch time, I would take several of my depressed students for a run around the school grounds.  They were outdoors—exerting their bodies and breathing fresh air.  Because they were out of breath from running, they had to breathe deeply.  We could smell the freshly mown grass.  They loved it and we found that is hard to remain depressed while outside running on green grass, with trees swaying in the breeze, and fresh air filling our lungs.

One day I, and several of the counselors, took a busload of students on a field trip to Hanging Rock State Park, near Winston-Salem, North Carolina.  Most of the students had never been outside their small world consisting of the slums and the bus ride to their school.

They had never seen cows and horses grazing in an open field.  They had never seen the bubbling water of a creek or the little fish and bugs swimming in it.  They had never seen a colorful leaf floating like a boat downstream, maneuvering its way around the rocks.  They had never felt the joy of wading in the cool water.  They had never seen a mountain grow higher as we approached it.

When we reached Hanging Rock, we enjoyed a picnic lunch prepared by the school cafeteria.  They had never been on a picnic.  They had never sat at a picnic table amidst the trees and watched to be sure the ants and flies did not join in on the feast.  They had never walked on a nature trail … never climbed down the rocks to a waterfall … never sat on a rock and felt the spray from the falls leave droplets of water on their cheeks.  They had never experienced the challenge of hiking to the top of a mountain to see a breathtaking view that extended for miles.  They had never felt the closeness of white fluffy clouds hovering overhead, as if heaven was communing with them.  They had never called out their names and listened for the echo.  They had never seen the glorious variety of wild flowers growing along the mountain trail.

Their senses had become deadened from the lack of experiencing nature’s stimulants that energize and nourish the soul.  Forty years later, I remember that day as one of the most marvelous of my life.  I saw first hand what nature, including the vivid colors, can do for the starved spirit.  I understand why children growing up with senses deadened by the lack of stimulation, by the lack of hope, by the lack of adventure, often end up with deprived adult lives.

These children were so excited many reported not being able to sleep that night.  I saw genuine smiles of inner joy.  One girl with cerebral palsy would not stop until she had reached the top of the mountain and seen the world from a high peak.  That was the fulfillment of her dream.  She was sick for a week afterwards from the unusual exertion, but her smile never left her face—because, “she had been on a mountain top.”
